So excited- Tony Iovino, The creator and host of the Summer Gazebo Reading Series created a nice photo collage of all the participants. This was such a great opportunity. It was also my very first public reading. Follow the link to read about the series and bios of all the performers. Thanks again Tony!

Last weekend I got down to Robert Moses just in case it was the last time it would be warm enough to wear a swimsuit this year. I walked the length of field 5, swam for a while playing in the riptide, walked the boardwalk, and soaked up some sun.
I am already missing the summer. I went to flicker and found some amazing pictures of Robert Moses. I included the user’s names of each photographer in the photo descriptions.

I was starving for some poetry, so I made it a point to go to a reading over the long weekend. I saw an amazing performance at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in NYC (http://www.nuyorican.org/).
If you write poetry or enjoy reading/listening to it, I urge you to check this guy, 13 of Nazareth, out on MySpace.

He was both spiritual and political. The crowd went nuts, showing that they loved his poem that he performed. It was written from the perspective of the bullet that killed Martin Luther King Jr. and it was incredible. He definately was an inspiration for me.
